Narain Niwas
This garden house built by General Amar Singh in 1928, the then Thakur of Kanota as his residence in the midst of forests made a hunting ground for black bucks and panthers then. Here one can have a glimpse of his life in the form of a diary which reflects the Thakur's life. Castle Kanota is located 15 km east of Jaipur and was built by Thakur Zorawar Singh, the founder of the Kanota Thikana. A beautiful garden with a fruit orchard and the library with obver 1000 books and manuscripts is amazing. It has deep verandahs which overlook the garden. The hotel has beautiful chandeliers, painted walls, hybrid colonial furniture depicting a somewhat Anglo Indian stlye.
